On 8 June (Saturday) the Kutsaca Association – Social Development and Culture held its Children’s Day party in the school of Mahungo, municipality of Bilene. As a partner of Kutsaca, Transitex collaborated with this celebration and was represented by its Maputo team, that was the biggest promoter of this partnership that began in 2015. Initially called Escolinha Kutsaca, this association was born on the province of Gaza as an project for education and training of the community, at the “Service of a more conscious, collaborative, just and dignified world for all, through models of education, formation, experience and sharing.”
The event was attended by Susana Cravo, founder of the project, the school teachers, the children and their families, as well as Mr. Domingos, representative of the authorities of the district of Mahungo. All the community was reunited to celebrate not only a special date, but also the success of this social initiative, which proved once again its ability to involve people. One of the convictions behind the creation of the Escolinha Kutsaca project was precisely that “A transformation model is only really effective if it actively and consciously promotes collaborative bridges, stimulating solidarity entrepreneurship to the detriment of the welfare model that generates dependency and not reinforces local empowerment”. With the presence of our team in Mozambique and three offices of our own, we see ourselves as part of the community, which is why we believe we should be involved in projects where we review our values, and this is Kutsaca’s case.
Continuation of an excellent academic year for all the children of Mahungo and votes of great success to the Kutsaca Association!
