On June 29, Transitex team was represented at the TAP Air Cargo Awards ceremony, where it was honoured as ”Top Seller TAP Fresh”.
In Portugal, Transitex is a certified IATA Cargo Agent. Here, we have a dedicated team for air cargo in Oporto office, where also is located our Freixieiro warehouse.
On winning this category, Fernando Lima, Transitex CEO, commented: “TAP Fresh Award – Transitex received the award for the biggest carrier, in the FRESH segment, awarded by the Portuguese airline TAP. As a result of the strategy of development and expansion of business areas, the company has used its sea freight know-how to also be a reference in air cargo. Transitex is a company prepared to provide logistical services for the fresh fruit trade between the two hemispheres, that allows consumers to have the same varieties during the 12 months of the year”
In May, Transitex announced that its Peru branch also became a IATA Cargo Agent, joining Brazil, Spain and, of course, Portugal.
