This week Transitex starts a new service for groupage cargo that will connect the Iberian Peninsula to the United Kingdom by sea. With a weekly frequency, cargo consolidation will be done at Transitex locations in Iberia and the service will be destined to London and Liverpool, with distribution at any delivery point in the United Kingdom, and an estimated transit time of 4 to 5 days (plus delivery).
This logistical solution is yet another way to guarantee trade between Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom in the post-BREXIT. The opening of a Transitex office in Manchester was strongly linked to the need to anticipate and prepare for the challenges that BREXIT would certainly bring to European Union exporters and importers. In operation since July 2019, Transitex United Kingdom was able to respond to the needs of our customers in Portugal and Spain, as well as those of local importers.
