Transitex closed 2020 with a special gift for its favourite partner: Kutsaca. As it is already our tradition, we marked the last month of the year with a social responsibility initiative designed and executed by our team.
Since 2015, we are proud to be one of the sponsors of this social project in Bilene, Mozambique. Kutsaca emerged in 2014 as an educational project to train the community of the village of Mahungo, where a school was created that has since promoted the education and literacy of the local children. Currently, the project works on three main fronts: as a preschool, an after-school for children already enrolled in primary education and female empowerment, through the Wasate program.
In the last days of 2020, Transitex delivered school supplies, hygiene items and toys to Mahungo, offered by our team, by YILPORT Setúbal and Leixões, by Dr. Cautela Clinic and by the NGO Little Dresses for Africa. The donations amounted to 270 kg of material, which travelled from Oporto, Portugal, to Maputo by air before reaching its final destination.
We would like to thank the friends who supported us and our team for making this action possible through their donations, as well as our air department and the entire Transitex team in Mozambique for coordinating the transport of this valuable cargo. Our biggest “thank you” inevitably goes to Kutsaca project and to all the people who made it real – find out more at www.kutsaca.com.
