2002
The Beginning
Founded in Spain, in the city of Badajoz, Transitex’s first objective was to extend the hinterland of the Port of Lisbon, creating competitive logistics solutions that allowed Lisbon to be a valid option and positioned on equal terms with the main Iberian ports.
2005
Expansion in the Iberian Peninsula
Quickly, after successfully fulfilling this first objective, Transitex spread across the Peninsula, where today it has seven commercial offices and two logistics platforms.
2007
Africa and Latin America
In 2007, Mota-Engil’s entry into Transitex’s capital gave a new dynamicto the company, broadening horizons and making internationalization the natural and unavoidable path of Transitex’s future.
Taking historical and cultural factors as a reference, in addition to trade relations in the Iberian market, Transitex’s growth was based mainly on two pillars:
- Southern Africa;
- Latin America.
2015
New Expansion
The opening of Transitex China, based in Shanghai, marks the arrival of Transitex to the Asian continent.
At the same time, for the first time Transitex offers an international road transport service with its own fleet in Latin America.
2016
Yilport Group
Transitex is acquired by Yildirim Group of Companies, becoming part of the Yilport Holding. Consequently, the company opens its first office in Turkey, Istanbul.
