  • We are seeking to attract an Import/Export Coordinator for our Miami branch in order to support our growth strategy.

    Main Responsibilities

    To perform the day-to-day Ocean Export (LCL and FCL) and Ocean Import (LCL and FCL) duties in compliance with US laws and regulations, as well as with a view to maintain the company’s profitability and exceptional client service. This involves organizing and monitoring shipments from reception of order until the final delivery, ensuring that each step is attended timely and communication with all clients, agents, Transitex offices, carriers, truckers, and any other service providers are always completed professionally in order to guarantee excellence of service.  As all members of our team, will be required to comply with Transitex operational standards, processes and procedures.

    Knowledge, Experience, and Duties:
    -Must have complete understanding of the import and export process from the clients’ perspective, as well as the freight forwarders perspective;
    -Preparing, reviewing and processing of import and export documentation;
    -Arranging, scheduling, and booking of inland transportation and transport by vessel;
    -Coordinating shipments in transit or in bond (7512);
    -Knowledge and experience with filing of AMS and AES in ACE;
    -Maintain shipment accounting: system rating, client invoicing, and processing of vendor payables with accounting department;
    -Communication of information and management of documentation with overseas offices and agents, clients, carriers (SS lines), brokers, truckers, warehouses, other suppliers and vendors, and government agencies;
    -Problem identification and resolution;
    -Ensure compliance with relevant local, country and international regulations;
    -Other duties as needed.

    -Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in a freight forwarding organization;
    -Must be detail-oriented, thorough, have a sense of urgency, and accurate with good problem-solving skills;
    -Solid knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries and major cities/ports;
    -Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (fluent English);
    -Excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills;
    -Self-motivated and enthusiastic;
    -Ability to multitask and be a self-starter;
    -Computer skills: Proficient (intermediate level) in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).

    Other considerations:
    -Microsoft Dynamics experience is a PLUS;
    -Experience with air imports and/or air exports is a PLUS.
