  • We are seeking to attract a talented Import/Export Operations Assistant for our office in Rotterdam, Netherlands, in order to support our growth and expansion strategy.

    Main Responsibilities:
    – The procedures related to forwarding operations, such as the bookings received by sales to ensure compliance with the conditions of service agreed with the various parties;
    – Document the different forwarding operations, noting the conditions of service, organizing the related contracts and collecting relevant administrative and commercial information in order to ensure the collection of all the data of the operation;
    – Support the sales activity by making contact with agents and clients, as well as launching enquiries to the market to timely respond to requests from the commercial area, under supervision of a manager;
    – Taking the administrative steps inherent to documentation and operational procedures, control and delivery of documentation, including customs documentation, and providing clarification and information to customers and carriers, ensuring that the commitments made with clients and partners are met and also comply with the legal requirements.
    – Receive customer complaints and act accordingly to the established procedure.
    – Check, issue, and dispatch documents relating to freight forwarding services to ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements, under the supervision of a responsible;
    – Ensure the filing of all documentation issued, so that the processes have all accurate documents and info, ensuring the information is accessible in time, when requested and in compliance with legal requirements.

    Desired Skills and Experience:
    – University degree in Logistics, Management or Economics;
    – Minimum of 1 years working in a cargo agent company;
    – Fluent in English, additional languages are an advantage;
    – Advanced communication and negotiation ability;
    – Solid market know-how and networking skills;
    – Strong adaptability skills and capacity to work in a fast pace industry;

    We are seeking to attract a talented Export Analyst to our branch in Miami, USA, in order to support our growth strategy.

    The person selected will be able to successfully perform the day-to-day ocean export (LCL and FCL) and air export duties in compliance with USA laws and regulations, as well as with a view to maintain the company’s profitability and exceptional client service. This involves organizing and coordinating shipments from reception of order until final delivery, ensuring that each step is attended to timely and communication with all clients, agents, TRANSITEX offices, carriers, truckers, warehouses, and any other service providers are always completed professionally . The collaborator is required to comply with TRANSITEX operational standards, processes and procedures.

    Main Responsibilities
    -Complete understanding of the export process from the clients’ perspective, as well as the freight forwarders perspective;
    -Preparing, reviewing, and processing of export documentation;
    -Arranging, scheduling, and booking of inland transportation;
    -Coordinating shipments in transit or in bond (7512);
    -Knowledge and experience with filing of AES in ACE and all TSA requirements;
    -Maintain shipment accounting: system rating, client invoicing, and processing of vendor payables with accounting department;
    -Communication of information and management of documentation with overseas offices and agents, clients, carriers (SS lines / airlines), brokers, truckers, warehouses, other suppliers and vendors, and government agencies;
    -Problem identification and resolution;
    -Ensure compliance with relevant local, country, and international regulations;

    Desired Skills and Experience:
    -Minimum 2-3 years’ hands-on experience on a freight forwarder;
    – Detail-oriented, thorough, having a sense of urgency, and  problem-solving skills;
    -To have a dangerous good certification and a current certification for air and ocean;
    -Solid knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries and major cities/ports;
    -Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (fluent English);
    – Planning, prioritization, time-management, and organizational skills;
    -Self-motivated and enthusiastic;
    -Ability to multitask and be a self-starter;
    -Computer skills:  proficient (intermediate level) in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.);
    -Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus;
    -Experience with air imports and/or ocean imports is also a plus.

    Main Responsibilities:
    – Develop new and prospective customers in the United States;
    – Lead in the preparation and negotiation of bids, RFQ’s & quotations with customers;
    – Lead sales campaigns and events in conjunction with Transitex Group policies;
    – Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory according to agreed market strategy;
    – Respond and follow up sales inquiries and leads using appropriate methods;
    – Client management of allocated customers by using established tools to achieve and exceed targets;
    – Consistent follow up with new clients to Account Management level;
    – Deployment of information about all contracts with customers and suppliers to all parties;
    – Ensure customer requests are completed in a timely manner and at the highest possible service level;
    – Adhere to client service level agreements;
    – Resolves discrepancies, while keeping record of discrepancies;
    – Sales administration: update and maintain all relevant information about customers and sales activities;
    – Monitor competitor activity and industry trends;
    – Provide periodic reporting of sales activities.

    Desired Skills and Experience:
    -Bachelor level education and/or commensurate experience;
    -Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in Air/Ocean Freight Forwarding sales;
    -Developed knowledge of special equipment (Reefers, OOG);
    -Proven record of growing business and starting new accounts;
    -High level negotiation skills;
    -Relationship builder;
    -Ability to make quick, smart business decisions and provide solutions;
    -Ability to focus on results, action orientated;
    -Fluency in spoken and written English, with Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills being advantageous.
